Before a good prizegiving some trophies might need a bit of maintenance. We've put together some quick fixes to restore your trophies. As always, you can send your trophies in, or drop them off, to our shop for us to work our magic on them.
Silver Cups
Sometimes the bowl of the cup is loose.
- Turn the cup upside down.
- Hold the bowl in one hand and tighten the nut under the plinth until bowl is secure.
Trophies
Stem is loose and tightening does not help.
- Remove thread from stem.
- Drop some wood glue into hole.
- Replace thread
- If the stem. is cracked, or split, you'll need to clamp the trophy whilst the glue dries.
- Wipe off excess glue
- Wait for glue to dry.
- Place stem on base and tighten the nut.
